Features:

Inserting fin and welding fin heat sink (means combining the fins together with the base), Smart Cool will fully consider each customer’s performance and cost-effective requirement, offer a complete range of manufacturing processes to meet customer demands.

1. Inserting fin by closing pressing

Making groove in the base firstly, then put the fins into the groove by punch pressing and tightly to combine them together. Simple process and reasonable cost, but poor reliability.

2. Bonding fin heat sink

By brushing the epoxy resin in the groove, which has some thermal conductivity and bonding capacity, bonding the fins into the groove one by one. Advantages are simple process, moderate cost, reliability, and equivalent performance with inserting fins.

3. Soldering fin heat sink

By using tin grease or flux to embed different fins into the base, performance is the best.

1).  Tin soldering (Welding temperature: 120℃~180℃)

1.1 Copper and aluminum welding( aluminum needs nickel plating).

1.2  Copper and copper welding.

1.3 Aluminum and aluminum welding(need nickel plating).

1.4  Nickel plating cost is much higher.

2). Brazing (Welding temperature: 300℃~400℃)

Copper and aluminum all can be welded, do not need nickel plating.

High welding cost.
